Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA)
The Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency as established by the Lagos State Structures for Signage and Advertisement Agency Law, 2006 and the Amendment thereto is responsible for regulating and controlling outdoor advertising and signage displays in Lagos State.
Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (O.A.A.N)
What today has metamorphosed into OAAN was OACAN-Outdoor Advertising Contractors Association of Nigeria, born in 1964 with the primary objective of constituting a body to deal with the Government. The most significant contribution of OACAN to the development of Outdoor Advertising was its strong representation to government as input to the Advertising Bye-Law promulgated by the Lagos City Council in 1965. This is the Bye-Law that has since been adapted wither in whole or with modifications by all the Local Government in Nigeria.
Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON)
The Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) was established by the Advertising Practitioners Act No. 55 of 1988, as amended by Act No. 93 of 1992 and Act No. 116 of 1993 (now Advertising Practitioners Registration Act Cap A7 of 2004).
APCON maintains a strong focus on its vision of promoting responsible and ethical advertising practice, acts as the conscience of society in matters of commercial communications and as a watchdog for consumers. It also manages the need and interests of stakeholders in Nigeria’s advertising industry.
Nigeria Computer Society (NCS)
The Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) is the umbrella organization of all Information Technology Professionals, Interest Groups and Stakeholders in Nigeria. Formed in 1978 as Computer Association of Nigeria (COAN); and Transformed into NCS in 2002 as a result of harmonization with other stakeholder and interest groups. NCS is the national platform for the advancement of Information Technology Science and Practice in Nigeria.
Nigerian Institute of Training and Development (NITAD)
The Nigerian Institute of Training and Development is a professional body of Human Resources Development (HRD) practitioners registered in Nigeria to promote the science and practice of training and development nationwide. The professional development activities of NITAD are claimed at facilitating the exchange of knowledge, skills and experience for those engaged in learning and development and at achieving a better utilization of human ability and potential in business. The Institute is affliated to the International Federation of Training and Development Organizations (IFTDO).
